a Pod Riders

Hello, we are the McDonalds

and we love podding and riding bikes and paddleboards!

We're from Spokane, Washington

Some of our activities

Bike Riding

We enjoy bike riding aroung the northwest. Our R-Pod is great for buzzing off on the spur of the moment to bike ride in the Tri-cities area of head off to the coast.

Paddleboarding

We also enjoy paddleboarding. The R-Pod is perfect for the Columbia River Gorge area. We enjoy camping and SUP riding.

Travels

We try to get out a couple times a month. Mostly in the spring and fall.

Weather

Any kind of weather is ok for us, probably not the snow and ice though.

Bike

We like to bike on the CDA trail and around Lake Sammamish.

Paddleboard

You can find us on Coeur d' Alene lake in the summer.

Here are some pictures from our travels.

I love to paddleboard and I am looking to getting to more places camping in the pod. Podding is new to us so far and it is going to be great!

W7NC Amatuer Radio

Somehow we hook everything together with Ham Radio. I have enjoyed this hobby since I was 10 years old. I bought my first radio, a Hallicrafters S53A with money I earned delivering papers. I have kept up with it off an on since. I started as a SWL WPE7AHZ in 1957. This was a call offered to shortwave listeners through Popular Electronics Magazine. Then Licensed general in 1976 as WB7DCL. Then advanced as KE7YM. Then extra as W7NC.

You can find me mostly on the digital bands working JT65 and BPSK31.

D-Star is a big part of the hobby for me also.

Some useful D-Star links...
